Continuous Improvement and Customer SatisfactionUtilising the Altra Business System (ABS), continuous improvement is a way of life at Matrix. One of the key strategies of all of our functional areas is to constantly improve our processes. We use the ABS quality tool kit that includes Statistical Process Control, Kaizen, 5S, and Process Capability (Cp,Cpk) to help us meet our objectives. We are also fortunate to utilize many customer Best Practices to ensure satisfaction. We have a long record of passing customer audits with flying colours. Additionally, every brake we make is fully tested and traceable. DesignAt Matrix, we have assembled a team of highly experienced engineers to ensure our customers get products that meet and exceed their expectations each and every time, whether it is off-the-shelf products or highly customized braking systems. We utilize modern design tools and concepts that help ensure the highest level of quality while minimizing waste. EnvironmentIn today’s world, it is not enough to just provide good products and services … increasingly it is just as important to minimise our impact on the environment. Matrix has a fully certified BS EN ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system. Additionally, all Matrix brakes are RoHS compliant, and 100% asbestos-free. Health & SafetyOur most important assets are our employees. By implementing best practice Health and Safety procedures, we have consistently reduced the occurrence of accidents.
