It is the policy of Altra Industrial Motion, in all its business units, to conform to the highest Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental standards in the interest of our employees, other persons and the environment.
Our Quality Policy is to meet or exceed our customers' needs and expectations by setting and measuring organizational and quality objectives in an environment of continual improvement.
Quality is essential to modern just-in-time manufacturing, especially when producing critical safety products such as electric brakes. No one understands this better than Matrix. We are certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2008, and provide a range of products which are UL certified. We can provide Lloyd’s certification and meet National Defence Standards as well.
Continuous Improvement and Customer Satisfaction
Utilising the Altra Business System (ABS), continuous improvement is a way of life at Matrix. One of the key strategies of all of our functional areas is to constantly improve our processes. We use the ABS quality tool kit that includes Statistical Process Control, Kaizen, 5S, and Process Capability (Cp,Cpk) to help us meet our objectives. We are also fortunate to utilize many customer Best Practices to ensure satisfaction. We have a long record of passing customer audits with flying colours.
Additionally, every brake we make is fully tested and traceable.
At Matrix, we have assembled a team of highly experienced engineers to ensure our customers get products that meet and exceed their expectations each and every time, whether it is off-the-shelf products or highly customized braking systems. We utilize modern design tools and concepts that help ensure the highest level of quality while minimizing waste.
In today’s world, it is not enough to just provide good products and services … increasingly it is just as important to minimise our impact on the environment.
Matrix has a fully certified BS EN ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system. Additionally, all Matrix brakes are RoHS compliant, and 100% asbestos-free.
